Help will be on the way soon for hospitality industry businesses in Luzerne and Lackawanna counties.
On February 5, 2021 Governor Wolf signed into law legislation (Act 1 of 2021) that set aside $145 million in funds to aid hospitality industry businesses most adversely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Lackawanna County Commissioners have allocated $2,374,844 million in funding to provide grants to eligible hospitality and accommodation businesses through the Lackawanna County COVID-19 Hospitality Industry Recovery Grant Program. The program will provide grants up to $25,000 to eligible businesses in Lackawanna County.
The grant program is NOT OPEN. The grant application will go live on March 8th and will remain open for two weeks or until funding is exhausted. Funding is NOT first-come, first served.
Businesses are encouraged to read program guidelines and gather required program documents. Please keep checking metroaction.org for more grant program details as they become available.
This program opens MARCH 8.
