WILKES-BARRE — Dozens came out to Kirby Park in Wilkes-Barre Sunday for a little exercise and to help state police at the same time.
60 people participated in the Troop P Camp Cadet 5K walk/run.
Runners participated alongside Camp Cadet councilors, alumni, and state troopers.
It was the first year for the event.
The event meant a lot more for one young man we spoke with.
“My mom and dad worked for the state police. In the future, this would give me a better opportunity if I were to go into that field,” said Zach Kehoe of Mountain Top.
Money raised at the walk/run all goes to the Camp Cadet program.
