WILKES-BARRE — The Wilkes-Barre Riverfront Parks Committee will try to add events and programs at the River Common with $50,000 in annual funding from Wilkes University, King’s College and Luzerne County, officials announced Monday afternoon.
Luzerne County would provide $10,000 a year for maintenance, and county will have to vote to approve the agreement, County Manager David Pedri said. The colleges will provide $20,000 each in annual funding to the parks committee.
