WILKES-BARRE — The Third Friday Art Walk is heading into the dog days of summer with tongue firmly in cheek during their Aug. 19 event.
Starting at 6:30 p.m., best dressed pooch, owner-dog lookalike and best trick contests will highlight the happenings at downtown Wilkes-Barre’s Midtown Village and select art walk locations will hand out dog treats not unlike a tail-wagging early trick-or-treat. Hazleton’s Jagger’s Doggy Deli will also bring their baked dog treats to the event, and raffles will be held to benefit Blue Chip Rescue and Third Friday.
For humans, the walk offers 12 different downtown Wilkes-Barre stops, each showcasing a different artist, performer or vendor. For a full list of events and more, visit ThirdFridayWB.com.
